Tour of Missouri Brings Tourism Dollars to Our State
Posted September 8th, 2008 by Peter KinderDear Friends:
It's almost Fall in Missouri and that means that the top cyclists in the world will be hitting our roads beginning today for the annual Tour of Missouri.
As your Lieutenant Governor, I have worked hard to ensure that this premiere tourist attraction first came to our state one year ago. It was a huge success in terms of bringing in millions of dollars of tourism revenue for the Show Me State as well as putting us on the international cycling map.
Please Exercise Your Right To Vote
Posted August 4th, 2008 by Peter KinderDear Friends:
One of our precious rights as Americans is the right to vote, and I encourage Missourians across our state to exercise that right on August 5.
For more than 200 years, Americans have fought and died to protect our rights and freedoms including the ability to cast a ballot. Even today, there are those around the world who continue to fight and in some cases die for the right to vote.
Polls in Missouri at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m., so please take the time to participate in our Democracy and vote on Tuesday.
God Bless,
Peter

Posted July 28th, 2008 by Paul SlocaThe St. Louis Beacon recently focused on Peter's commitment to the African American community in Missouri. The article, "A different kind of Republican': Lt. Gov. Changing Missouri
Posted July 1st, 2008 by Peter KinderIt is time to change Missouri.
To that end, today I'm traveling throughout the state to announce a positive ethics reform proposal that I believe could go a long way toward restoring public confidence and trust in how we do your business in your state government in Jefferson City.
Sam Page Hypocrisy: Receives “Fs” From NRA But Claims to Support 2nd Amendment
Posted June 26th, 2008 by Paul Sloca
In a stunning and transparent act of hypocrisy, Democrat Sam Page made the outrageous claim today that he supports our Second Amendment rights BUT actually received failing grades from the National Rifle Association and consistently voted against gun rights legislation.
In stark contrast to Page, Republican Lt. Governor Peter Kinder has received national recognition from the NRA for his support of Second Amendment rights.
Peter Signs Measure to Help Fight Autism
Posted June 23rd, 2008 by Paul SlocaPeter understands that Missourians with Autism face daily challenges that only those individuals and their loved ones can truly understand.
That is why Peter believes it is vitally important that the state do everything it can to help those individuals, including children, and their families cope with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Save Anheuser-Busch
Posted June 20th, 2008 by Peter KinderAs you probably know, the St. Louis original and all-American company Anheuser-Busch is being threatened by the Belgian company, InBev with a hostile takeover.
I’ve always enjoyed a cold Budweiser and I know that St. Louis, Missouri, and all-Americans would be worse off with the lose of Anheuser-Busch.
But this isn’t just about beer. Budweiser is an icon of America and is a staple for good, high-paying jobs in Missouri. Losing Budweiser would hurt our economy and our tailgates.
A Challenge to Follow
Posted June 18th, 2008 by Peter KinderRight now Missouri is again under assault by Mother Nature, as floods ravage portions of our state. As acting Governor this past week, I oversaw initial relief efforts while working to ensure that our response was swift and efficient.
But I want to take a moment of your time today to ask you to reflect on the men and women of Missouri’s law enforcement community who protect and serve us.
Yesterday, I signed into law several bills to rename Missouri bridges and highways in honor of Missouri law enforcement officers. Those roads are:

My friends, your fellow Missourians need your help TODAY. I am asking you to consider volunteering and helping those in northeast Missouri who are preparing sandbags as water levels continue to rise on the Mississippi River.
